ICON EV
A family of electric-only brands — ICON EV, Epic, and Pure — that's become the loudest challenger to the Big Three in the personal-use market. Aggressive pricing, modern styling, pure electric everything.
Brand Family
| ICON EV | The flagship. i20, i40, i60, i80 — 2, 4, 6, 8-passenger. Lead-acid or lithium. Street-legal LSV packages standard. |
| Epic | Premium-tier variant. E20, E40, E60 — better fit-and-finish, upgraded interiors, stereo packages. |
| Pure | Entry-level price point. Most aggressive pricing in the ICON family. |
What Sets ICON EV Apart
- Electric-only focus. No gas option anywhere in the lineup. The entire product design is optimized for lithium and electric drivetrain.
- LSV (street-legal) by default. Most ICON models ship street-legal from the factory — DOT-compliant headlights, seatbelts, horn, windshield, VIN. That's often a separate package charge at Big Three dealers.
- Aggressive pricing. ICON's i40 typically lands $2,000-$3,500 below a similarly equipped Club Car Onward or E-Z-GO Liberty. The tradeoff is less-proven long-term durability and a thinner dealer network.
- Modern styling. Sharper lines, more color options, LED light packages, Bluetooth stereo — ICON was first to ship what's now becoming standard.
Where to Buy — Central Texas
ICON EV coverage in Central Texas is growing but still patchier than the Big Three. Call ahead before driving to any shop — inventory turns quickly and dealer relationships change.
Who ICON EV is best for: Buyers whose primary use case is neighborhood street driving, who want an LSV out of the box without paying Big Three luxury markup, and who are comfortable with a newer brand that's still building its service infrastructure.
