Founded 1954 in Augusta, Georgia — one year older than Club Car. Owned by Textron, which also owns Cushman and Bad Boy Off Road. Known for producing reliable, efficient, affordable carts in enormous volume. The default workhorse for millions of homes and dozens of Central Texas neighborhoods.

What Sets E-Z-GO Apart
- Price-to-value. E-Z-GO consistently lands $500-$1,500 below Club Car equivalents on comparable personal-use builds. If budget is a real constraint, start here.
- Parts availability. The sheer installed base means parts — OEM and aftermarket — are abundant. A 15-year-old E-Z-GO is easier to keep running than most brands.
- Textron ecosystem. Common parent with Cushman (utility) and Bad Boy Off Road (UTV) means consolidated dealer relationships at multi-line shops.
- Lithium rollout. Later to lithium than Club Car, but Liberty and Express both offer it now with multi-year battery warranties.
